Jessica Coberly

Intake Volunteer

Jessica Coberly is an Intake Volunteer for The Joseph Project. In this role, she utilizes trauma-informed interview skills to speak with potential survivor-clients to understand their stories, identify their legal issues, and develop organized profile summaries.

Jessica is a licensed attorney in California and Nevada. She currently works as a Senior Assistant City Attorney. She previously practiced in a regional law firm, clerked for a Ninth Circuit federal judge, and was a Senior Advisor in the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Commerce. She holds degrees in International Studies and Political Science from Pepperdine University and her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law.

Jessica’s desire to be involved in eliminating human trafficking originated from an International Justice Mission (IJM) chapter in her high school. This desire was encouraged by other presentations and work experience she gained while at Pepperdine and directed her interests in law school. Based in Nevada, she is committed to raising awareness of the prevalence and impact of human trafficking and assisting survivors.
